In 2011 this project was formerly called "Socks for Southeast". But of course, it's about much more than socks so we've renamed it Project Warmth. We are collecting new and unused socks, hats, scarves and gloves to be distributed to members of our community who want and need them. They will be available to anyone attending the Feast for Southeast Thanksgiving meal.
We are currently organizing this year's Project Warmth and have an exciting addition called Project Bookworm!
Project Bookworm
Project Bookworm is our exciting new project for 2014. We live in a very literate city, and lately there's been a need for more books so that everyone can enjoy the gift of reading. We will have a table at Project Warmth with books to give away to whoever would like them.
Please consider donating gently used or new books to be distributed at our Feast. We need books for infants through adults. Novels and chapter books are best.
Books can be dropped off at 6153 SE Flavel Street Portland OR 97206 ( Please leave them on the front porch.)
Pick up could be arranged if needed - please call 503-913-0620
Another option is to drop books off at the Mt. Scott Community Center from 7 - 9pm on Wednesday November 26th.
How can I help?
If you have any clothes you would like to donate you can leave them at the dropbox of Mount Scott Community Center.
